The Jaguar I-Pace: An All-Electric Performance SUV

06/17/2024 / Gail Alfar

If you're a Jaguar fan and looking for an upgrade, the Jaguar I-Pace is worth considering. As an all-electric performance SUV, the I-Pace offers performance and eco-friendly efficiency. With its sleek design, powerful electric motors, and advanced features like adaptive cruise control and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, the I-Pace is worth a demo drive. Plus, with a 5-year or 60,000-mile factory warranty and complimentary scheduled maintenance in their beautiful service centers, you can enjoy peace of mind while driving your new Jaguar.

Impressive Performance

The I-Pace boasts a 90 kWh battery and two electric motors that deliver 394 horsepower and 512 lb-ft of torque. This allows the I-Pace to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.5 seconds, making it one of the fastest electric SUVs on the market.

Advanced Technology

The I-Pace comes with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a head-up display for your convenience.

The I-Pace also comes with a suite of driver assistance features, including adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring, enhancing driving safety and convenience.

Charging

The Jaguar I-Pace is compatible with various charging options to cater to different needs and preferences. The I-Pace comes with a 7 kW onboard charger, which can be used with a Level 2 home charging station. This setup takes around 10-12 hours to charge the I-Pace from 0-100%.

For faster charging, the I-Pace can utilize DC fast charging stations that use the CCS (Combined Charging System) connector. As mentioned earlier, the I-Pace can charge from 0-80% in just 40 minutes using a 100 kW DC fast charger.

In addition to the CCS connector, Jaguar has also adopted the North American Charging Standard (NACS), the latest charging standard introduced by Tesla in late 2022. On September 21, 2023, Tesla welcomed Jaguar to the NACS on its social media platform, X. This collaboration allows Jaguar's electric vehicles to use the extensive Tesla Supercharger network, known for its reliability and fast charging capabilities.

“JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) is dedicated to helping our clients make the switch to electric vehicles and to our commitment to net zero carbon emissions by 2039. Today's announcement is an important step as we deliver an outstanding charging experience for our all-electric Jaguar clients. Whilst most charging takes place at home, when away from home, our clients want access to fast, reliable and convenient chargers. “Tesla has created a charging network across the globe that delivers this, and we are delighted to be working with them to provide access for Jaguar clients. This agreement will enable Jaguar drivers with NACS-equipped vehicles in the USA, Canada and Mexico to use Superchargers without an adapter.” - Mark Camilleri, Director of Electrification Services
