Welcoming Two Tesla Vehicles to Your Family

Getting Driver Profiles Sorted Out
Those who own more than one Tesla, like Dezmond and his wife, will want to ensure that whichever Tesla you or your partner decide to drive will automatically select the correct profile for the person who gets in.
It's important to link all phone keys to the car. First, go to your Tesla, pick your profile, then go to locks, and touch click the person icon. You should see faint text underneath the name of your phone key that will show the profile name that you picked. Everyone who will drive the car should do this with their phone key.
Dezmond’s Experience
Late one cold January evening, Dezmond’s wife had had enough. She needed the problem to be fixed. Her Tesla would always link to her husband's profile every time she got in. Since he was taller than her, she had to adjust the seat settings manually every time. Because Telsa is known for great technology, she knew the problem could be solved. She let her husband know.
Like many Tesla owners, Dezmond attempted to solve the problem on his own first. After he failed to solve the problem, he decided to share it on X, hoping someone would offer a solution. His post reads,
“Does anyone with 2 Teslas in their family have issues with their profiles when hitting the brake pedal? Mine works perfectly fine, but when my wife gets in her car with her connected phone and presses the brake pedal, it goes to my profile every time. Yes, I have her phone as a priority, yes we have reset it, and yes I have removed my phone as a key and deleted my profile from her car. But it still goes to my profile. Removing my access from her app fixes it but we both need access since we check each other's location as a means of communicating when we arrive, pick up kids, etc.”
Another Tesla owner, who goes by the name of “Toads4ever” on X came to the rescue with the solution.
“2 Tesla fam here. Sometimes phone key straight up doesn't work. Did you make sure her profile is linked to her phone specifically? Look in locks, the name of her profile should be with the name of her phone. If it isn't, just click the "person" icon while on her profile.”
Immediately, Dezmond was able to fix the problem and to help others, he even created a helpful video!

Dezmond explained,
“Here was the problem: both of our phones were linked to my profile, can’t believe I missed this but after selecting her profile from Easy Entry, and then pressing the person next, Oliver’s iPhone, the issue was fixed. Even though her phone set to priority, my profile (was) linked to her phone.”
